We are situated between the delightful village of Stoke Fleming and the historic harbour town of Dartmouth,
Stoke Fleming less than half a mile away, lies on the shores of Start Bay just three miles from Dartmouth. We are lucky to have an excellent restaurant, Radius 7, which we can highly recommend it has a lovely atmosphere locally sourced food, all deliciously prepared and reasonably priced, the smoked haddock chowder is my favourite.
Our local pub is the Green Dragon, a proper dog friendly country pub. Friendly, chatty with welcoming staff. A great beer and food selection.
Stoke Fleming’s clifftop position, lying within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, provides panoramic views over one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the UK. Within walking distance is the award-winning beach at Blackpool Sands
Dartmouth is a vibrant harbour town situated on the banks of the picturesque River Dart, just 2 miles from our doorstep, it’s the perfect year round destination for a holiday or short break. Take a walk around the harbour, catch the ferry over the estuary, a river cruise or steam train to Paignton or Kingswear. With its many festivals and events throughout the year there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. The cobbled street are lined with small independent shops, and galleries of local artists. The large range of restaurants and bars in the town means there is something to suit everyone.
Parking in Dartmouth can be difficult in high season, but the park and ride is available until the end of October, costing £5 for the day which includes bus for up to 6 people. Alternatively there is a bus stop within 2 minutes walk of our cottage.
